True Christians are the disciples of Jesus-the Word of God.
True Christians are the disciples of Jesus-the Word of God.
King James Bible
God is a Spirit.
(The Jews call Him Elohim, the one God of all.)
Only God is holy, Holy, HOLY (Isaiah 6:3 and Revelation 4:8), and the entire concept of holiness is only associated with God, because true holiness is only of and from God.
Knowing only God is Holy by nature and God is a Spirit (John 4:24), we know God is not only a holy Spirit, He is THE Holy Spirit.
Never forget, ALL of God IS the one and only Holy Spirit, because no other Spirit is Holy. Thus, each and every aspect of God is also the Holy Spirit.
Unlike God, who is a Spirit-THE Holy Spirit, man is carnal and made of flesh from the elements of the earth.
Yes. We must understand and remember, however, that the will of God is the supreme law of the universe and of all creation, because God made it and everything possible. Therefore, God (the Holy Spirit) reveals Himself according to His will, as He decides. Everyone must grasp that truth. It is God the Father who decides how and in what manner He will reveal Himself to us, His creations.
The three aspects of God we can know now are the Father, the Father's Word, and the Father's Truth (the Holy Ghost), as explained in detail below.
Thus, all aspects of God's persona that He chooses to reveal to us are God, and each is part of the one and only Holy Spirit (the "Spirit") throughout time and the universe forever. Therefore, the Father is the Holy Spirit, the Father's Word is the Holy Spirit, and the Father's truth is the Holy Spirit. Thus, the statements "Holy Father", "Holy Word", and "Holy Holy Ghost" (the Father's Holy Spirit of Truth) are all correct.
Yes. God the Father is almighty and supreme, and everything was created by God as THE Father of everything; otherwise, He is not God.
Yes. God is THE Father to all who want to be His children, and His children call Him Father.
Despite what you may think or have been taught, not all people are His children; however, all who receive the Father's Word are given the power to become the children of God if they believe it.
Thus, God is also love.
In the most literal sense, God the Father gives of Himself as holy love because He is literally the best of everything conceivable; otherwise, He is not God. Therefore, the best gifts are of God (the Holy Spirit) and from Himself-as the one and only Holy Spirit.
(Please note that the God-kind of love is clearly different from mankind's love. Love of/from God is holy because the source is naturally holy. Mankind's brand of love cannot be holy because the source is not naturally holy.)
King James Bible, the New Testament
Per His will, God reveals Himself to us in three ways. The Bible tells us the three revelations of God, the Holy Spirit, as personas and presentations, so that we may come to know Him, from both:
Thus, how does He present Himself on earth according to His Word? How does He describe Himself?
From the perspective of heaven, the Spirit realm (the personas of "God in heaven"), the scriptures say:
Again, the Holy Spirit (God) is individually and collectively the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost. Each of the three personas are God-THE Holy Spirit because He is one Spirit, (see Ephesians 4:4, above). Think of an apple pie divided into three large pieces. The whole pie is the apple pie, and each piece is the apple pie.
From the perspective of earth, our physical realm (the presentations of "God with us on earth"), the Father said:
The Father said He has a servant, a soul, and a spirit (lowercase "s" intended) by which we can know Him on earth. For now, think of spirit as truth.
When we hold Him at His Word and match His three personas in the Spirit realm to the three presentations of God Himself here on earth in the physical human realm, we discover the pathway to Him and heaven just as He planned.
We start with His Word, not with man's word. Of course, the Word of God is God-the Holy Spirit.
The Father chose certain presentations of His own persona on earth so that we could know Him if we chose to learn of Him by His Word, so let's do that!
When we compare His personas in the heavens to the manner in which He presents Himself here on earth, we find the great revelation of Himself that He intended, according to His will (i.e., in the manner He decides).
"God in heaven" (i.e., the personas of God in the Spirit):
matched with
"God on earth" (i.e., the presentations of God in the physical earth):
gives us this result:
He is THE almighty and great "I am". To us, He exists according to His will because He is God. Thus, we come to know the Father as the soul of God as the Father's will (according to His will) because He is God and the Father (creator/originator) of everything.
Whatever the Father says is a statement of His will and is or shall become proving His Word is part of Him, God.
Not surprisingly, the Father's truth is also called the "Spirit of Truth" because He is absolute truth. The Spirit of Truth (Holy Ghost) bears witness to the Father's Word and evidences the Father's will in power because God is absolutely, prophetically, truthful. The Spirit of Truth (the Holy Ghost) teaches us all things, reminds us of what Jesus said, quickens our mortal bodies, and much more. See John 14:17, 15:26, 16:13, 1 John 4:6, and Romans 8:8, for starters.
But wait, if God is a Spirit, He does not have a "body" as we do. God refers to His Word and His servant, but there must be a body we can relate to. Stated another way, there must be a "body" for His Word to reside in to be a servant here on earth. As discussed below in the context of His only begotten son, Jesus, there are then two contexts we MUST embrace. The only begotten son of the Father, is both:
(Jesus is collectively and individually God in heaven because His Word is the servant everywhere and His servant in body on earth, as explained in detail below. See also, Isaiah 42:1 and Matthew 12:18 above.)
However, before we can consider and understand who (and what) Jesus is, we must consider mankind.
King James Bible
Yes.
The plural reference to "us" acknowledges the fact that He regards Himself as a trinity of personas: the Father Himself, His Word (whatever He says), and His Truth (the Holy Ghost also called the Spirit of Truth). God is also a trinity of presentations (servant/body, soul, and spirit) for man's recognition of his likeness to Him as explained in detail below.
Of course, God is eternal. The Father is eternal, His Word is eternal, and His Spirit of Truth (the Holy Ghost) is eternal. Therefore, mankind must also be eternal in some way in order for us to be created in His image and likeness.
In the image of God, mankind has a servant (body), an eternal source of existence (soul), and a sense of truth in man (spirit). For completeness, all people have a spirit contained within a living soul and housed within a servant-their body.
In the likeness of God the Father, the soul of God, man's soul is eternal, even though our earthly body is perishable like a piece of fruit.
The soul of every person is the life that is given to them as a possession.
Thus, each of us is our own god because we are given control over our own eternal destiny.
