True Christians are disciples of Jesus.
True Christians are disciples of Jesus.
We, the body of Christ alive today, must set aside our pride and haughtiness in religion and be the ambassadors FOR CHRIST-the Word of God.
God is the Word, and the Word is God. (FWIW, the King James New Testament is the ONLY New Testament that is reconcilable in its words alone.)
The verse ends with "in Him", the Word of God, so why would anyone choose a "version" of the bible that is not the best version of God (the Word)?
We know a person must be "born again" to enter the kingdom of God and live forever in heaven. Being "born again" means the Spirit of God dwells in you. The spirit of Christ Jesus is the Word and the Word is God. Thus, knowing who He is will not suffice. Jesus (the Word) must know YOU to be saved.
Yes. Sadly, many claiming to be saved will be rejected by Jesus because He never knew them.
Thus, Jesus the Word must know you to be saved, meaning the Spirit of Christ, the Word of God, must dwell in the saved person.
How can this be if they did many works in the "name of Jesus"?
Answer: The name of Jesus is powerful in itself.
There are seven buckets of evil that get poured into the lake of fire made for the spirit of fear (the devil) and the unsaved (unrepentant). Remember, the spirit of fear (error) is associated with the enemy. All forms of evil fit under the header of fear that God or His ways are insufficient. The seven fearful buckets of evil to be destroyed forever are:
Why not 8, or 10, or 50 buckets? There is no need for more. All 7 buckets of evil are derived from the god of this world, the enemy, spreading a fear that God or His ways are insufficient even though there are many names for the variants of sin filling the buckets.
Jesus the Christ, Messiah
In the beginning of the book of Revelation, Jesus spoke of seven churches as the seven candles of a lamp. Given the context of the discussion and the connection to the end times and prophesy of Revelation, we can study the seven churches and know the problems of the modern church are revealed.
Yes. The members who comprise the seven churches all have an opportunity to repent (and/or endure) and make it to heaven. Also, God is not a respecter of persons.
Therefore, if He gave hints of correction or encouragement to some but not others, He would prefer some over others, and that cannot be. Thus, the hints He gave to the seven churches are for us today as well. We should find the issue(s) we face in at least one of the seven churches and repent and/or endure as He says.
(Be assured, the roots of the falling away from God started long ago. See the drawing of the Seven Churches, below.)
Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
2 Thessalonians 3:6.
The Blame: Peters advocates a bogus doctrine of religion. He says the Holy Ghost and the gifts of the Spirit from the Father do not indwell mankind today ("Cessationism"), even though the King James New Testament and Jesus say they do.
The Issue: Peters' doctrine of Cessationism separates man from God. ANY doctrine that separates man from God IS, by definition, a dangerous, murderous, bogus doctrine of religion.
Facts: The Cessationist's bible removed all references naming the Holy Ghost from the New Testament. The gifts of the Spirit that the Cessationists claim cannot indwell man today come from that same Holy Ghost their bible has excised and no longer names. The Bible says the Holy Ghost teaches us all things, including the discerning of spirits, and reminds us of whatever Jesus (the Word) said. Clearly, the Cessationist's doctrine quenches the Spirit of God contrary to the will of God, the Word.
The Irony: As a Cessationist, Peters doesn't believe the indwelling of the Holy Ghost and gifts of the Spirit are for man today. One of the gifts of the Spirit is healing, and another is discerning of spirits (see 1 Corinthians 12:9 and 10 respectively).
The Word: The gifts of the Spirit come with the "another Comforter" (i.e., the Holy Ghost) Jesus said we want and shall get to dwell in us. Simply stated, the Holy Ghost indwells man for the renewing of him.
No doubt, the gifts of the Spirit from the Holy Ghost help us become the best testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Word of God, in this life now. Think of it this way: our assistance package from the Spirit are the gifts of the Spirit specifically suited for us individually based on the purposes He purposes in us.
The gifts quicken us (as first fruits personally and for the body of Christ) to do what the Father wants us to do as ambassadors for Jesus and in His name now in this lifetime.
Our best life now is ambassadorship for Jesus the Christ!
Of course, when the Father uses the gifts in us to do His work, as the Spirit wills, it is up to Him as to "who, what, when, where, how, and why," but we must remain ready and willing. If we are, He will always use us. Apparently, Peters is not ready or willing to receive the Holy Ghost even though God said the Holy Ghost can heal and give perfect discernment (1 Corinthians 12:9-10).
What must we do?
We try to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace between the brethren.
However:
The Cessationist causes division and offenses contrary to the doctrine of Jesus Christ and the brethren and should be avoided.
The Cessationist has a form of godliness but denies the power thereof from the Holy Ghost indwelling man. Everyone should turn away from them.
The Cessationist's attacks on the brethren are disorderly, and everyone should withdraw themself from their company.
Assumptions:
We should assume Peters does not wish to strip the gifts from the Holy Ghost as the bearer of them, and he would rather not cling to his bogus doctrine of Cessationism and deny the Brethren the power of God. Accordingly, Peters please get back in sync with the brethren.
You may be taking a risk that you should not be comfortable taking.
Despite his own bogus doctrine of religion, Peters has a ministry calling out others.
By wrongly attacking some of the brethren, he proves he lacks the discernment that is only available from the indwelling of the Holy Ghost.
For example, Peters mocks the concept of a "best life now" (and a book authored by Joel Osteen). For clarity, Joel Osteen's "best life now" ministry means living "victoriously in this life now" by the Spirit. It's an outlook of hope and faith in God in every situation, and it pleases God.
Osteen's messages of hope and the best life now are the same messages Jesus gave the believer on earth because becoming born again of the Spirit is the beginning of the best life the moment it happens! Peters still sees things from the weak flesh and wishes to remind us of the conflict between a best fleshly life now and 2 Corinthians 11:23-33.
Osteen's messages advocate turning away the enemy. They reinforce the premise that God and His ways are totally sufficient, always positive and supportive, and will withstand criticism. The enemy is the opposite of that. Remember, any fear or concern that God or His ways are insufficient IS the enemy.
Moreover, common sense says Osteen's voice of hope in the wilderness is better for the lost and weak and pleases God more than the religious stones Peters throws at the voice of a brother he doesn't know.
Peters, what is it to you (or anyone) if God has Joel Osteen do exactly what he is doing?
We are all to follow the Lord, Jesus the Word!
[FWIW, Osteen and I have never met.]

Setting the Record Straight:
We know, the spirit of the man Jesus is the Word of God. The Word is God and the reason Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah. Thus, the "faith of Jesus-the Christ" IS the "faith OF the Word" as the bond between the Father and His Word as a son in the Spirit, and between Jesus (the Word) and us as a son, the body of Christ.
As the body of Christ here on earth, the born again are all Word of faith creations of the Spirit by (starting with) the Word.

Peters, if you wish to discuss the matter, I would be happy to oblige. I will use the King James New Testament and you can use whatever you choose.
Then, if need be, you will be shown that Cessationism is not scriptural and not the Father's will for anyone. Stop it, Peters.
