No condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus!

When we place our faith in Christ Jesus-the Word of God, it is settled:

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Romans 8:1.

Remember, He already paid for our mistakes and we are under grace.

What is "walking in the Spirit"?

Please understand that nobody can describe walking in the Spirit because it is lived. We are born again by the Spirit, and we cannot lean on our own understanding.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:25.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Proverbs 3:5.

The term "walking in the Spirit" simply means a continuous lifestyle of seeking and doing the will of the Father. Jesus said:

If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. John 7:17.

If we keep that in the forefront of our minds, knowing we have the mind of Christ through the Word, we will grow in the Spirit and do many mighty works for Him too.

For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16.

Thus, there is a struggle to ignore the will of the flesh and do the will of God.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16.

When we become born again, the time when we were disobedient is past.

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Ephesians 2:2.

Why do I feel condemned at times if I am born again in Christ Jesus?

Have you engaged in something that the Spirit wants you to stop? We must not ignore the second (underlined) part of the verse.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1.

Whenever we choose to serve the will of the flesh and "walk in the flesh" instead of the Spirit, our conscience will condemn us.

Condemnation is what we find in this world and from the god of it, the enemy that is condemned. Therefore, do not let the enemy lie to you. Know that you, the brethren, are not condemned but reminded of grace.

But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. 1 Corinthians 11:32.
And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? Hebrews 12:5-6.
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Revelation 3:9.

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth.

For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Matthew 12:37.

Does what we say prove our faith and guide our future?

Yes. It is the unruly evil at times.

Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body. Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, hithersoever the governor listeth. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. James 3:1-8.
