True Christians are disciples of Jesus.

Please understand that the enemy can only give that which it actually has/is. Recall that the enemy is bound to the spirit of fear. The notion that God or His ways (His will and Word) is insufficient turned Lucifer, an angel in heaven, into the devil from hell and God bound the devil in an eternal state of fear.
(Webster's 1828 dictionary defines "terror" as extreme fear; violent dread; fright;...)
Therefore, the devil knows fear is itself and the way to be destroyed. The enemy (the devil) wants to give itself-the spirit of fear (error) to mankind. Whenever anyone opens themself up to the notion that God or His ways (His will and Word) is insufficient, they open themselves to the spirit of fear (error) and act accordingly by giving in to the will of the flesh and the lust for that which they feel God is inadequate in satisfying.
Compare:
For the believer, born again of the Spirit, we receive grace from Jesus and are not destroyed by our weakness or stupidity.
For the unbeliever, not born again of the spirit, they shall be sifted as wheat by the devil and destroyed with it. Peter (Simon) was a believer and yet he was subject to being sifted as wheat by the enemy.
Why is the situation this simple?
We know faith is belief put into action. Belief is something that we have or have not. The believers believe in Jesus the Word. Believing is an action and a prerequisite for becoming born again. Believing in Him (Jesus the Word) precedes our confession and repentance from sin which is our faithful action for salvation. Thus, believing in Jesus (and the Word which He is) enables us to receive the Holy Ghost and become an adopted son. As an adopted son, Jesus gives us His faith (the faith of Jesus), and the enemy cannot mess with us!
Yes, but not directly. The enemy will use it's own children, the unbelievers who remain the damned, to hassle us.
Therefore, we should not treat people as the enemy even though they act for the enemy. They are merely behaving as their father, the devil, would behave.
We are to behave as our Father in heaven would have us act, and Jesus is the example.
We do good deeds for our enemies because they may find repentance through our good deeds. If they do not, your good deeds will dump coals of fire on their heads when they enter hell because they rejected the works of Jesus that lead to repentance.
It's hard to to do sometimes, but do it anyway and you will reap great blessings and rewards.
The only thing the enemy can give you is fear. Don't take it. Stay believing always.
Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Deuteronomy 31:6.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7.
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
Luke 10:19-20 (emphasis added).
