True Christians are the disciples of Jesus-the Word of God.
True Christians are the disciples of Jesus-the Word of God.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
John 14:12.
Note: We SHALL do them. Shall is a direct statement of authority and command.
Yes, He said it. In fact, shall is not "if". Shall is a direct statement of authority and command.
God expects us to do the works of Jesus, all of them, but without the Holy Ghost, it is impossible. Now, can anyone truly say the enemy hasn't infiltrated the congregational churches and caused the quenching of the Spirit by removing the Holy Ghost? Beware, Jesus said:
Yes, according to the same terms Jesus had, i.e., as the Father wills!
For the born again, the Holy Ghost from the Father is also our helper, now, in this lifetime on earth. The Father reveals Himself to us according to His will, as He decides by the Word and through the leading of the Holy Ghost.
Remember, the Holy Ghost (Spirit of Truth) raised Jesus from the dead because He (the Holy Ghost-Spirit of Truth) witnesses the Word that lived in Jesus and now in us. He will raise us (the born again) from the dead when our mortal bodies die.
Before our bodily death, the Spirit of Truth quickens our mortal bodies, helping us to avoid sin as we live by the will of God and the faith of Jesus as we do the works He did.
Disciples are the ambassadors of Jesus now in this lifetime.
Fake Christians do not love the truth and shall perish like the rest of the unsaved. The Holy Ghost IS the Spirit of truth from God.
We ask Him! He is our Father, and He is not hiding his will from us.
When He tells you, you should want to do it even if your flesh grumbles. We do not ask, expecting Him to tell us what we already want to do. Otherwise, we are god, and what do we need Him for? Yikes, imagine all of us as gods making decisions that everybody else must accept. The devil likes that chaos. You are not of that spirit. We come to know the will of the Father as we communicate directly with Him.
Jesus made it all possible.
And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people;
Hebrews 2:4.
Jesus said, "Learn of me" in Matthew 11:29. He also said, "Why callest thou me good" in Matthew 19:19, Mark 10:18, and Luke 18:19. So, what was Jesus talking about learning? Not His flesh, we covered that previously. Not His soul because He was a person like you and me. He was talking about His spirit, the truth in Him. His spirit is the Word of God, the Father. Thus, all of us are tasked to learn of the Word with the guidance of the Holy Ghost who teaches us all things and reminds us of what Jesus said as we live our lives on earth doing the Father's will.
Jesus also said the Holy Ghost shall be in us.
Sadly, most churches today do not speak of the Holy Ghost, and have eliminated the term from the books they call Bibles. Instead, they use the term "Holy Spirit," which means "all of God" in general. This is a deceptive practice that should be stopped.
Yes. Jesus said if we love Him to keep His commandments.
The commandments of God under the Old Testament covenant are all encompassed in the commandments of Jesus under the New Testament covenant. Again, Jesus said to keep His commandments. His commandments are these:
Please note that the underlined phrase in the verse above means that the entire Old Testament is summarized by Jesus' two commandments. Clearly, we are under the New Covenant, and these are New Testament times!
Yes! The Holy Ghost is the most important aspect of the New Testament times under the New Covenant from Jesus applicable today. Jesus said it is good that He goes so we get the Holy Ghost, but many congregational churches ignore the Holy Ghost and use books they call Bibles, which are not, that have no reference to the Holy Ghost.
It's time to reset the standard back to where it was when Jesus walked the earth!
Battlefield armor has always served two purposes. Armor is a covering and a weapon. Think of a boot. It covers our tender feet and it can be used to crush a scorpion or the head of a serpent beneath it. It gives our feet a form of resistance and power at the same time. But note, for most people (with two feet), only one boot is considered incomplete. The whole armor of God is like that. Each piece protects us from the weakness it covers and serves as a force to be reckoned with; all pieces collectively complete the mighty warrior having the mind of Christ.
The mind of Christ instructs us to be the best soldier. strong in the Lord and the power of His might as we spread the gospel of His grace, salvation.
Jesus NEVER entangled Himself in the affairs of this life.
In the context of the armor of God, we must take on all of it; otherwise, we allow for vulnerabilities of our flesh and a weakness in battle. The armor of God coupled with the mind of Christ in us lets us do the will of the Father in heaven victoriously every time by the leading of the Holy Ghost.
We are the well-armored ambassadors of Christ, and for Christ.
("Reconciled" means brought into friendship from a state of disagreement or enmity; made consistent; adjusted; justified.)
As the ambassadors/soldiers of Jesus Christ, we are reconciled to God the Father; we must always be about His purpose, not ours. The purpose of the entire body of Christ is to help others become reconciled.
We start with the utmost care in what we say.
